A cleverly crafted version of the tuna sandwich

Yield: 8 mini sandwiches
| 1 | package | (3 ounce) cream cheese, softened | |

| 2 | Tablespoons | brown mustard | |
|

| 1 | can | (6 ounce ) tuna, drained | |
|
|
|||
| 1/2 | cup | celery, finely chopped | |
|
|
|||
| 2 | loaves | (6 inch) pita bread | |
|
|
|||
| Tomato slices | |||
|
|
|||
| Lettuce leaves | |||
|
|
|||
Beat together cream cheese and mustard until smooth; stir in tuna and celery. Place lettuce and tomato slice inside each pita triangle and fill with tuna salad.

“I would have rated this recipe higher, if it had a little more flavor. My version added the following to the recommended ingredients. 1) Some finely chopped sweet onion, 2) a little sweet relish, 3) a touch of dill, 4) lemon juice, 5) a 1/2 slice of Havarti cheese (slipped into each half of pita bread). These additions added MUCH more flavor to this sandwich. Regardless...Thanks to the person who submitted this recipe...It was a great inspiration for our lunch!!! ”
