| 1 1/2 | cups | uncooked brown rice | |

| 4 | Tablespoons | butter, divided | |

| 2 1/2 | cups | applesauce | |

|

| 1 | cup | apples, peeled and cubed | |
|
|
|||
| 1/2 | cup | brown sugar, packed | |
|

| 1 1/2 | teaspoons | cinnamon | |

| Sprinkle of cinnamon | |||

| Milk or half and half | |||

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
Cook rice according to package directions.
Stir 2 tablespoons butter into hot rice. Add applesauce, apples, brown sugar and cinnamon.
Spoon into a greased 2 1/2- quart baking dish. Dot with remaining butter; sprinkle with cinnamon.
Bake, uncovered for 35 minutes or until heated through. Spoon into bowls and add milk or half and half. Can be enjoyed hot or cold.
